Roseville
Principal
Mrs. Hiestand has been happily married for thirteen years and has four children. She has been working as an administrator in education for fifteen years, developing classroom protocol, policies and procedures, staff management and teacher development. She helped develop an Applied Behavior Analysis center-based program for children with autism spectrum disorder. She was privately educated from kindergarten through twelfth grade using the Abeka curriculum and has specialized in the private sector. She is so thankful to her parents for the sacrifices they made to give her, and her two siblings a great private school education and their investment into her future.
Vice Principal
Mrs. Donnel has been happily married for over fourteen years and has three wonderful children. She has worked with students of all ages in education for over ten years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education, with a general education K-8 credential and K-12 special education credential. Her passion is working with special education students, and she loves an inclusive classroom environment where children of all ages and abilities can come together to learn and grow. She will be working directly with teachers, providing instructional training, and developing programs.
TK Instructor
Since her oldest son was in kindergarten, Mrs. Dorr has always been involved with her three children in the classroom. During her role as Room Mom she helped to coordinate all of the holiday parties, birthday parties, performances, and field trips. Being involved in her children’s education has played a vital role in her family. She has enjoyed working with children and was honored to be a part of the opening of Liberty Learning, assisting our TK-2nd grade program. She has served this ministry for over one year and cannot wait to host her own TK classroom this fall. Mrs. Dorr graduated in 2002 from California State University Sacramento and holds a Bachelors Degree in Health Science.
Kindergarten-1st Grade Instructor
We are happy to welcome back Mrs. Herron for another program year here at Liberty Learning Ministries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Sacramento State. She has over 30 years of experience teaching lower grade children and instilling a love of learning. When she is not teaching, you will find her spending time with her family and golden retriever. She is looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and fun!
1st-2nd Grade Instructor
Mrs. Allan has been local to this area her entire life and happily married for over 10 years with 5 daughters. She began her teaching career as an assistant at age 16 and has worked with children for over 30 years. She has her Master's Degree in Elementary Education and has taught in a classroom for many years as well as a former school director and local business owner. She has a passion for working with children and is able to see the potential in EVERY child! Her goal is to proudly serve her community, her country and God through Liberty Learning Ministries amazing program!
3rd-4th Grade Instructor
Mrs. Brisby is creative and compassionate and has always enjoyed working with children. She has 13 years of experience in elementary and high school education, and this her third year instructing at Liberty Learning Ministries. After a decade of service in the public school system, Mrs. Brisby knew we could do better for our children, she prayed over it, and God brought her to Liberty Learning. She is honored to be a part of this family. From the staff to our learners, and to our families, she has found her tribe. We are a family who truly values freedom, faith and fellowship. We love our kids, we love our country, and most importantly, we love God.
Mrs. Brisby has so many amazing things planned, and she cannot wait for our first day! She looks forward to seeing you all again and meeting our new learners!
5th-6th Grade Instructor
Ms. Oliver is bright, creative, and energetic. She has an Associates of Natural Science from Sierra College with continued education at UC Davis and University of Arizona. While teaching she will be continuing her education to be a California Certified instructor. Ms. Oliver is so excited to be joining us and teaching our 5th and 6th graders. Her passion for education goes beyond the classroom as she hopes her students step away with strong morals and values. She wants all of her students to feel confident in their personal identities.
9th-12th Grade Instructor
Ms. Haugen worked as an educational specialist for 13 years at a public independent study charter school and enjoyed the experience of working with K-12 students. Teaching multi-subject grades K-8 as well as working with high school students was great preparation for her new role as high school instructor for Liberty Learning.
Ms. Haugen is CA certified in secondary subjects, English, history and social sciences, general math, science, and music. She loves singing, playing piano, staying physically active, going on road trips, visiting family and historic places, and reading historical fiction. She attends The Family Church and is grateful and excited to be a part of this educational adventure with all of you.
Resource Specialist
Mrs. Collins has worked with a variety of grade levels from Pre-K through 6th grade and worked in a classroom environment since 2014. She has also run a STEM Lab classroom providing various hands-on projects to all ages. She has her Associate's Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was created to teach and has a passion for helping children learn and grow. She is excited to return for an amazing year in her new role to help our learners be successful and love learning.
Campus Monitor
Mrs. Byrd is the mother of four boys ranging from 23 down to eight years old. She holds an A.S Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. For the past twenty plus years, she has held multiple positions within the school district. From driving school buses to teachers aid, recess supervisor to crossing guard and beyond! In her down time she volunteers as a crisis text line counselor. Ms. Byrd looks forward to getting to know all the Liberty families!
Principles of Leadership Instructor
Candace Collins holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership and has developed and delivered curriculum in the field across the community. She holds certification in leadership development from the National Board of Medical Staff Services and Development Dimensions International. Candace has been a youth facilitator at Compassion Planet in Rocklin, CA since 2013 and developed a leadership program for inmates at Folsom prison. Her courses are based on the premise that equipping an individual to think like a leader creates for them a clear roadmap forward.
